Playing Around and Visiting Grandmas Again

Adele loves to play, there's no way around it. She is happy to appease her foster sister and goof around. They are so funny to watch together, and they provide endless entertainment for each other .

We also love when Adele naps because often it will be like this (complete with light snoring).

We made a return trip to grandmas, which Adele loved, because it has many windows to look through and dog beds with blankets to snuggle in.

She seems to be enjoying the fall weather and would stand forever watching nature around her if she could.

As we are still in the early weeks post-heartworm treatment, Adele spends the majority of her day snuggled in bed surrounded by toys.

Visiting Grandmas

Adele had another heartworm treatment at the end of October. The vet's office is closer to my parents' house, so we stayed there for a bit. Although it is a tad difficult to get her to the car, her car anxiety has greatly improved. She just lays on her bed and enjoys the ride.

She became comfortable in the new environment when her bed was placed where we were staying.

After I picked her up from the vet's office she got a little extra love from my family as well as her foster sister.

She even made new friends with my parents' iggies who graciously shared their bed.

By the time we got back home, Adele was fully returned to her happy goofy self. She made an attempt to sit in the smaller iggy bed but decided this was not as comfortable as she imagined and returned to the bigger bed.

She was thrilled to get back to the basket of toys.

Moving Week

This week we moved out of midtown Atlanta. Adele handled the move like a champ and is much happier on walks without the bustle of traffic around her. Her potty training is going great, and she now goes to the door if she really needs to go in between scheduled walk times.

She took full advantage of unpacking in the new place and claimed all the pillows and blankets for herself and her foster sister.

Adele was very helpful and made sure to unpack all the toys.

Her patience with her foster sister is astounding. Even when the little one is being annoyingly persistent, Adele is calm and gentle. We separate them when Adele gets too playful as we want her to take it easy until after her treatment. She will be ecstatic when she can run around and play without limits.

She made herself at home in the new apartment in no time at all. Overall she is as happy, sweet, and silly as ever.

Adele's First Week

Adele has been with us for a couple of days now. She is slowly adjusting to city sounds but she has loved the view from the first moment she came home with us. She enjoys watching all the cars and people pass below.

Adele quickly made herself at home. She found the toys and played with all of them before bringing them to her bed. She's taking it easy while going through her heartworm treatment and spends time snuggling in her bed with her blanket. She is even kind enough to share with her foster sister.

We've gotten to see her goofy side and adore seeing her play around or sprawl out in the apartment. She is such a sweetheart and loves pats, kisses, and playing with her sister (always carefully!)
